Tingly shivers.. No not the cold kind!

This blog is gonna be dedicated to everything and anything that makes me shudder (..and hopefully you will agree!)

Think I'll just dive on in on this one..

1. Cutlery scraping on a plate

My sister is the worst culprit for this! Ahh! It just makes me wanna throw the plate at her head, I hate it so much :S  

The repulsive shrieking screams of a plate being attack by a villainous fork is offensive to my ears and makes me want clamp my teeth so hard that my jaw, in the words of The Spices Girls.. "becomes one" with my face.

2. When food isn't divide equally

Pizza is by far the champion of unequal sharing foods! Never have a found a pizza that I could happily tuck into without judging which half is the bigger one.. yes I am greedy - but come on.. PIZZA! It's amazing :P

Also, I have such a sweet tooth, so cake isn't great at this either.. Always found myself moving round the table or group when I was a kid just so I didn't end up with a crappy tiny little non-existent piece of cake! :L

3. Razors vs. Nails

Now it can't just be me, but when I am happily shaving my legs, probably singing an awful but catchy tune and therefore not paying full attention.. I have my razor in one hand and the other is checking I didn't miss any bits (#fairhairproblems :P) and then all of a sudden my razor catches my nail and takes a chunk out of it.. even thinking about it now is making me squirm! It's actually the most hateful feeling ever if this has never happen to you.. I don't wish this on my worst enemy NJ!

4. Dish-Water Nasties

This entails any food particles or rubbish (wrappers and napkins etc) getting into the dirty water in the sink and you touching it with your bare hand! It's soo gross :S As you might know I work in a cafe and so I hafta do the dishes at times and yes we do have a dish washer but you still hafta use the sink.. the amount of creepy weird rubbery foods there are hiding in that murky water is indescribable! 

5. Cutlery That's Touched Foil/Metal

Again back to that evil cutlery! This especially happens when you get chinese food or even like a gravy/curry chip from the chipshop! That metallic taste is the most horrendous taste that I've ever encountered.. Grim! Why do these lovely eateries with their delicious food want to ruin it with this disgusting taste?! Either give me a plastic fork or get new containers! Bluuh!

6. Nearly Stepping in Something Icky

I'm not sure if this is just me or a universal thing but I always get a shiver up my spine after nearly stepping in something dodgy :S I'll not go into too much detail on this one haha!

7. Breaking a Nail and Thinking You've Lost Half Your Finger

Recently I got lovely acrylic nails on which I've had all summer. Usually i keep my nails short but i fancied a change so I'm now used to super long fingers as I keep the nails quite long. However,  tragedy struck when one came off and then my natural nail broke (in work! :( ) and left my with a tiny boy nail! Sad times :( Now every time i text or use my mobile I see it out of the corner of my eye and think I'm missing half my finger.. It really freaks me out at times :S

Also this causes rag nails which then catch on every material possible! Frustrating times!

8. Anything associated with Saw or Hostel Films

I watched these when I was younger and traumatised myself! Between needle pits, slitting peoples ankles and something called the hand trap.. if you want to look it up its Saw 2 but its pretty horrid.. I just wanted to boke at my TV screen while squirming about and watching the movies through a gap in my hand!

9. PDAs

Otherwise known as public displays of affection. Yes I'm all for romance and all but ya know keep it inside.. if I wanna be part of your relationship I'll message you on facebook or reply to your online advertisements! Holding hands and minor cute stuff is grand but when you start to feel hungry and decide that the best way to cure this is by cleaning the inside of your partners mouth then it's gone too far! Private things for private times please :D

10. Knuckle Cracking

My other half is notorious for doing this.. He even has a wee routine where he pops each finger individually which is followed by him cracking his knuckles and wrists in every way he can and then if that's not enough he has to finish with his neck. It grosses me out so much! :S I don't seem to mind other body parts doing it which is quite odd but the fingers and neck really get me!

OOTD

I could hear the kerching..ing..ing of my bank account this week.!

Working hard in the cafe, grabbing all the hours I can, slowly building up my funds since it was zeroed after T in the Park! 

So obviousl, a nearly 'im happy enough with it' full bank account only means one thing... ONLINE SHOPPING!!

Oh dear oh dear what had I let myself in for.. I was only on one website (I must have some willpower!) and in the first half an hour I must have totaled up a good hundred quid already! :/

Uh-ooh!

My wee tummy was in knots... the further I delved into the Boohoo website, the more pretty outfits I was creating in my head! :(

Double checking the bank account to make sure this wouldn't make too big of a dent in my savings!

'Okay okay!' I told myself, 'how much would be suitable, to get me enough new stuff that I'm happy with, without leaving me scrapping pennies together afterwards..?'

Suddenly, I realised that Boohoo has 25% off the day I was gonna buy stuff.. There is a God! :O I couldn't believe it! Never been so happy in all my days :D

So yes, to sum up my little rollercoaster of a tale, I was able to buy quite a few items with a quarter off my total! Happy days! :D

What Did I Buy...? I hear you ask...

Once i spied these jeans I just had to have them! Ripped knees are very in atm and theses are not overboard.. I've noticed a few that look like they've been hacked by a 2 year year old with blunt scissors!

..Not a good look!

Also, I really love this blue.. kinda marble effect denim! Definitely fits in with my 'worn but loved/grungy' style. The overall style and shape is very 90s as well with the higher waist line which is great to hold in a big dinner lol!

The next item, Ijust had to have, was this aztec kimono! The autumnal colours will take me into the next season perfectly and also the long length of this one gives it a more wintery vibe! I love the crazy print.. it's actually what drew me to the item and I wasn't totally sure about the length as it was quite different to other clothing items in my wardrobe. However, it's awesome so it's staying! :P

Other items were more essentials that I needed, which included tops like a dark grey crop top, black and white vest tops and also a leopard print raincoat.. which is amazing! ...but it kinda feels like a swimming hat :S 

Again, I don't care as I'll be dry for once and in leopard print (nothing can go wrong when you wear leopard print - my motto in life)

America Stole My Money!

This summer, I was lucky enough to be able to go to America - for the second time! :D

My boyfriend and his family own a villa out there which makes it super cheaps for us to head over.

I can't tell you enough how much I fell in love with the place the first time and the second time just confirmed that!

We did the whole tourist/Disney stuff in 2012, so this time was more about getting a good tan and chillin' with my boyf, his parents and my two best friends (one of which is his sister which is incredibly convenient!)

As the boys were outnumbered, 2:4, we got to go shopping for a whole day this time round! (I will write another blog about other stuff we did while there but this one is mainly about shopping!)

Florida Mall is the biggest shopping centre I think I've ever been in and I think I could possibly live there for the rest of my life.. I'd be in heaven!

The most amazing thing about shopping in America is that when the shop has a sale on, you can use that discount on top of say a coupon and then you can maybe apply for a store card and get another 20% off all of that! It's actually insane and everything's pretty cheap anyway cause of the exchange rate too. I definitely have never bought so much for so little in my life! #broke 

Although, I think that the UK shops should still bring this into their shops!

While in Florida Mall, we obviously visited every single shop that we possibly could.. or at least until I had zero dollas left.. So worth it though!

There were many shops that I would highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance to such as Aeropostale, Hot Topic and American Eagle. 

My absolute favourite was, most definitely, one called A'GACI. Originally, we walked striaght past this shop, until out of the corner of my eye, these beautiful royal blue skyscrapers shouted at me to come in and buy them!

"Becci come try me on" they yelled across the shop floor, so obviously, I couldn't pass up that invitation! However, while on my way to get my babies, there was another whisper from a sexy black pair which were also in need of a new and loving home!

Anyway I had to try these on and buy them to add to my ever expanding collection of shoes - mum is gonna kill me I thought! :S

What made the whole experience even better.. How could it get better you say? Well the sales assistant was a young man, with the best style I've seen in ages, and the most impressive and well kept afro I think there ever has been! He was so helpful in helping us figure out the strange American sizings and even brought out a third pair of shoes for me to try 'just incase'!

Even though I know this is just another sales tactic, it was so thoughtful of him to bring a different style of shoe for me to try just incase i didn't like any of my choices! :) #cutie

His sassiness also made him that much cooler! :P

And with that happy note, I will end this blog and keep my fingers crossed that some lovely American will buy the crop top in a size small and send it to me...
