Your face makes me feel sick..

- Where's Wally?
- A Cat
- Vampire
- Zombie
- Witch
- Chucky
- Zombie Dorothy (Wizard of Oz)

This is a list of my previous years halloween costumes and it's about that time of year again where I start thinking of weird and wonderful ideas! And yes, I do know it is August!

But, I love this time of year! I can get the glittery pink and gothic makeup out and really go overboard on the slap without being judged! :P

I, for one, am obsessed with makeup, as many of my good friends will complain..I mean tell you about. The hours and hours of perfecting my smokey eye or the arch on my very subtle eyebrows has been part of my routine for many years.
However, when it comes to the end of October,  I dive into everything from eye shadow on my lips and lipstick of my eyes to fake blood and even gelatin made an appearance on my face last year.  I was very pleased with my last years 'zombie dorothy' outfit and got comments such as:

"Your face makes me feel sick"
&
"Eww can I touch it? It creeps me out!"

Personally, these were compliments as that's obviously the look I was going for!

One thing that annoys me is people especially girls thinking halloween gives them right of passage to be sluts and dress as provocatively as possible..
Come on guys it's halloween.. you're meant to look scary not like hookers! Unless maybe its relevant to say a movie or book character!

So this year, I've a few ideas rattling about in my head and I'd like to thank Pinterest for helping me with some of these suggestions such as:

- Mary Poppins

- Zombie.. something or other

- Pop Art

- Khaleesi (Game of Thrones)

- Poison Ivy

-Young Moira O'Hara (American Horror Story)

I was doing a fair bit of looking on the internet and found some pretty cool ideas, which I will so kindly share with you for some inspriation..

Lego - This one would be great for a group

Black and White - Thought this one was very unique and different

Toy Army Men - Great one for the guys

Harpies - Greek mythology based idea for those that want something different

Skeleton - The makeup on this one could be amazing! If done right then it would look awesome

Guess Who? - I used to love this game so this one is totally nostalgic and hilarious!

Chucky and his bride - how cute is this one.. If i had kids they'd definitely be dressed up like this for halloween

Granny - Again parenting done right! #adorable

Mia and other Pulp Fiction characters - Love the film and the outfits could be made a bit more interesting especially if you dress up as Mia after her adrenaline shot. Also great for those doing halloween on the cheap as its basic but effective

Peter Pan and his shadow - great idea here especially for a couple or even twins would be so cute!

So yeah, help me out guys and sure even give me some inspiration by letting me know what your ideas are atm :)

America Stole My Money!

This summer, I was lucky enough to be able to go to America - for the second time! :D
My boyfriend and his family own a villa out there which makes it super cheaps for us to head over.

I can't tell you enough how much I fell in love with the place the first time and the second time just confirmed that!

We did the whole tourist/Disney stuff in 2012, so this time was more about getting a good tan and chillin' with my boyf, his parents and my two best friends (one of which is his sister which is incredibly convenient!)

As the boys were outnumbered, 2:4, we got to go shopping for a whole day this time round! (I will write another blog about other stuff we did while there but this one is mainly about shopping!)

Florida Mall is the biggest shopping centre I think I've ever been in and I think I could possibly live there for the rest of my life.. I'd be in heaven!

The most amazing thing about shopping in America is that when the shop has a sale on, you can use that discount on top of say a coupon and then you can maybe apply for a store card and get another 20% off all of that! It's actually insane and everything's pretty cheap anyway cause of the exchange rate too. I definitely have never bought so much for so little in my life! #broke

Although, I think that the UK shops should still bring this into their shops!

While in Florida Mall, we obviously visited every single shop that we possibly could.. or at least until I had zero dollas left.. So worth it though!

There were many shops that I would highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance to such as Aeropostale, Hot Topic and American Eagle.

My absolute favourite was, most definitely, one called A'GACI. Originally, we walked striaght past this shop, until out of the corner of my eye, these beautiful royal blue skyscrapers shouted at me to come in and buy them!
(This is them in yellow obvs!)

"Becci come try me on" they yelled across the shop floor, so obviously, I couldn't pass up that invitation! However, while on my way to get my babies, there was another whisper from a sexy black pair which were also in need of a new and loving home!

FYI these pictures do not do them justice!

Anyway I had to try these on and buy them to add to my ever expanding collection of shoes - mum is gonna kill me I thought! :S

What made the whole experience even better.. How could it get better you say? Well the sales assistant was a young man, with the best style I've seen in ages, and the most impressive and well kept afro I think there ever has been! He was so helpful in helping us figure out the strange American sizings and even brought out a third pair of shoes for me to try 'just incase'!

Even though I know this is just another sales tactic, it was so thoughtful of him to bring a different style of shoe for me to try just incase i didn't like any of my choices! :) #cutie
His sassiness also made him that much cooler! :P

So, for you lovely readers, I looked on their website and picked a few items that stood out to me..

Count 51 Metal Band Strappy Platform $36.50

I am absolutely in love with this Dogtooth pattern crop top! I am definitely a big fan of back detailing so this is right up my street! I neeeed this so badly :(

Cute In Houndstooth Crop $17.50

Aisha 13 Geo Fun Pump $38.50

Deep Hearts Abstract Jumpsuit $35.50

These are just a few of my top picks from http://www.agacistore.com/, but unfortunately when I found out that they don't deliver outside the US, I started sobbing and couldn't face it anymore.. The pain was just too much!
#sadtimes!

And with that happy note, I will end this blog and keep my fingers crossed that some lovely American will buy the crop top in a size small and send it to me...

Worth a try right?! :P

#BlogOne

-

So, as you may have guessed, this is my first time blogging (of my own free will). I had to do it for a university project, which sounded really exciting at the time, and then we got handed a gigantic book to read and had to critically analysis what some of the given chapters were talking about! -___-  ...So yeah that was fun and worked out well.. put me off the whole thing!

One main reason why I'm going to try and blog is, as my title implies, I am a media student and I do not utilise the media to it's full potiential so I'll give it a go and *fingers crossed* it'll all work out and I'll give you all something interesting to read instead of just babbling on.. kind of like I'm doing now... Oopsies! :P

So the reason I'm back trying it out, is cause my very good friend, Nikki aka Pintsizedperfection, (http://pintsizedperfection.blogspot.co.uk) started up one and it brought back the thrill and want to do it again. P.S. You should defs check her out! :P

And here we are..

(I'm the one with the reddy purpley pinky hair.. I'm really not sure what colour it is)

But yeah, this is us posing as usual for my 21st birthday which was only a month ago :( waah I'm getting so old.. What's with that? Still feel able 16!

A little bit about myself..

- I'm 21 years old and currently studying Media and Production at University of Ulster

- Obsessed with studs and leather :S sounds bad but it's so good!

- Love make up - especially eyes and eye brows as you can probably tell from my pictures

- My social life consists of festivals and concerts

- I occasionally bake but had to stop cause my and my other half were getting seriously fat.. (YAY Great British Bake Off is back #tooexcited)

- Elmo is the bestest character from Sesame Street!

So, I just want to say a big..

..to you all and I hope you like my wee page!
